TONY
BENNETT - A CLASS ACT!
April 4, 2007
Gina Goes Bye Bye
Gina says bye bye. She
clearly wasn't the best, but
she was good. You've
got to like the genre that
Gina Glocksen finds comfort
in if you're going to
appreciate her style.
Not too much to say here.
Sanjaya is still
around, and we're really
tiring of talking about it.
He should have been gone
three weeks ago and ina
certainly deserved to be
here longer than Sanjata as
did Chris, Brandon and
everyone else who has left
us.

The Idols take to the stage
after working with legend
singer
Tony Bennett. Did
Tony inspire the singers?
How about Sanyaja? Can
anyone inspire him?
Without going into all the
hoopla, we think Phil Stacey
will be leaving us this
week, although we could be
wrong, as we have been in
the past. His
performance was flat, and
Simon Cowell seemed to utter
the same feelings.
Melinda Doolittle was
phenomenal, as is to be
expected by now.
A seasoned pro once again on
stage. Simon Cowell
seemed a bit peeved by this
as he even said that the
judges like to be mean every
so often. Of course,
we know it's only Simon who
has the mean streak, and
Paula Abdul - in an effort
to keep her nice girl image
- wouldn't find criticism if
a singing dog took the
stage. And while we weren't
crazy about Chris
Richardson's performance,
surprisingly the judges
seemed in awe of it.
The judges surprised us this
week with praise for
performances we thought were
sub-par. Along with
Phil, we really weren't all
that thrilled with Gina
Glocksen's performance so
she too might just be shown
the door this week.
We'll see what happens.
It goes without saying that
Lakisha Jones and Blake
Lewis were spot on as was
Jordin Sparks. It
seems that Jordin's
improvement from week to
week has easily lifted her
into "elite" idol status
with Lakisha and Melinda.
By far, we're looking at the
four best Idols being
Melinda Doolittle, Jordin
Sparks, Lakisha Jones and
Blake Lewis, in no
particular order. Look
for these four to stay safe,
with the last place
performance being up in the
air. We'll be back
tomorrow with more!
