 It was a heartfelt week as
each of the final six American
Idol finalists reached back
for some extra firepower to
deliver, with heart and emotion,
songs of inspiration.
From Eric Clapton to John Lennon
and even Fantasia Barrino, this
was a memorable week as "Idol
Gives Back".
From Carrie Underwood and
Kelly Clarkson, to Il Divo
and yes, ELVIS; stars from
around the globe came
together to give us one of
the most touching and star
studded events in television
history. Other guest
features included Bono,
Annie Lennox, Jack Black,
Ben Stiller, Madonna, Rascal
Flats, Earth Wind and Fire
and more. Perhaps the most
moving performance of the
night was Josh Groban
performing You Raise Me
Up with the African
Childrens Choir. The
performance was stellar and
just had to bring a smile to
everyone's faces, as it did
ours.
The video footage of
Simon Cowell and Ryan
Seacrest's journey to Africa
was beyond touching and
emotional. The
show tugged at our
heartstrings for nearly
every minute of the two hour
show. Video coverage
of Randy Jackson in New
Orleans was equally
