And now we're down to two
Idol Finalists!
Adam Lambert
vs. Kris Allen!
American Idol Season 8 Final Three
And your final three are:
Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey
and Kris Allen. Good
luck to all of you!
There are arguments to be
made for this season's final
three contestants, but we
have no complaints.
Our running favorite has
been Adam Lambert right out
of the gate, and we're
sticking with that pick.
However, the final three
showdown on May 12, 2009 was
perhaps the best final three
we've ever seen.

28
year old
Danny Gokey from
Milwaukee, WI came out
smooth, poised and confident
and won the judges over with
both performances.
While Danny may not have the
natural ability of an Adam
Lambert, Kris Daughtry and
Idols of the like, he's got
that charisma and likability
that can certainly push him
over the top and set him up
for a nice, long career in
the music industry. |

26 year old
Adam Lambert from Los
Angeles, CA has been our
favorite from the
onset. You may have
thought he was a
true rocker and
limited only to the
high-notes and
dynamic range, but
with several smooth,
cool, melodic
performances under
his belt throughout
the final 12,
there's nobody who
can't appreciate the
talents of this
young singer.
Adam is our pick to
win it all!
Time will tell! |

26 year old
Kris Allen from
Comway, AR had his
good moments and
not-so-good moments
throughout the final
12. As we
entered the top 3 on
Tuesday night, it
seemed to be a
foregone conclusion
that Lambert and
Gokey would lead the
way into next week's
finals. Not so fast!
While Kris Allen's
rendition of
"Apologize" by
OneRepublic was, in
our opinion, very
nice, Kris took some
heat from the judges
for not making it
"his own".
Surprisingly, Simon
Cowell sided with
Kris because the
judges chose the
song for him and
offered no coaching
or suggestions for
changing it up. The
performance was
solid.
However, song choice
#2 was the choice of
Kris himself. An
acoustic guitar
performance - which
took guts - coupled
with confident,
dynamic vocals on
Kanye West's
"Heartless", may
have - as Simon
noted - made us all
think twice.
The final 2 are up
for grabs and it
should be fun! |
